  • Robert Dammeyer

    DVM

VCA Olympic Animal Hospital welcomes back Dr. Robert Dammeyer. Dr. Dammeyer began his veterinary career in 1991 at Olympic. In 2007 he left to pursue other opportunities, however he is ecstatic to return to where it all began. "I could not be more excited to return to a community and hospital that I consider home," says Dr. Dammeyer. Dr. Dammeyer attended Oregon State University and received his bachelor's degree in biology in 1987. He went on to Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was frequently on the Dean's List. Dr. Dammeyer was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991; graduating second in his class. He also received the Upjohn Clinical Proficiency Award. His professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue and select orthopedic surgeries, general small animal medicine and dermatology. His main focus lies in preventative medicine; helping pets and their owners live long healthy lives together. A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association, Dr. Dammeyer is also a past board member and vice president of the Pet's Choice, Inc. Veterinary Group board. He is the current president of the Klahowya Eagles Band Parents Association and is active in helping organize the Peninsula Classic High School Marching Band Competition that takes place at Silverdale Stadium every fall. Dr. Dammeyer and his wife, Lori, are the proud parents of Cameron and Kelsey as well as two spoiled Basset Hounds: Crush and Lily. An avid fan of Oregon State University's football, basketball and baseball teams, Dr. Dammeyer can usually be found watching Oregon State games and cheering for his team when not at the hospital. He and his family also enjoy camping, fishing, tennis and enjoying what our great Northwest has to offer.
